housing needs so some of the basic ada issues aren't met and places for walkers and wheel shares and elevators and getting bunk assignments appropriate to their abilities are. this includes access to showers in terms of time, not having enough time to shower or accessible showers. a third point that we heard about and impact this is community is health and wellness and access to food so for folks with diabetes or other needs don't have access to fresh food and impacts people's mental health and there are mental health needs not being met in the shelter and connected to trauma and violence and we know they have experienced this in their lifetime and health and wellness and cleanliness and dust, mold, bed bugs and not able to live in the conditions because they're foul and lgbt folks are targeted and not just by staff but other residents. jenny talked about the lack of safety folks experience trying to get a reservation. this exists if the shelters and in the street networks so when people are sleeping outside they don't have safety and inside the shelter they don't have safety

have the latest. >> so to provide us the latest updates on the fire is teen i can't walker from california governor's office of emergency service. she joins us from california. i think what people find the most interesting is this is affecting people as far as the northernest part of the state. could you explain that to us? >> reporter: the rim fire has made substantial impact statewide. we have air quality impacts and we have the fire threatening the watererwater reservoir. we have the impacts of the fire of the county and of the water reservoir that supports san francisco county and they are clean water system. >> are you having to pull in people from other states? ho are you on manpower? >> you know, resources are stretched across the state. we have resources coming not only from neighboring jurisdictions of fire location but across the state. but what we have on the rim fire, it's a state priority, we have over a thousand firefighters working on that fire around the clock, and resource versus come literally from across the tate to--across the state to assist in that battle.

>> commissioner walker? >> yes. thank you for coming. i do have a question about the statement made by the building owner regarding your requirement that seemed to expand what was already there. so could you answer that part? because i mean. we are not a court of law. so it is not like we are going to be looking at the lease or whatnot. we are trying to resolve this issue. so, what is the issue regarding expanding the bathroom? or the abilities? >> that is fine. as a tenant, i'm entitled to the protection under the building code, the building code says that when showers are replaced they are going to be brought up to certain minimum size. it is a very small room in order to get that minimum mandated statutory area the configuration needs to be changed. as you can see, on the photograph, you have in your package and that i have given you, we have all of the tiles that come off from the... excuse me. the large number of the tiles have come off on the walls and our shower pan and deteriorated and these needs to be replaced and when they are replaced it requires a minimum area for that
